Video Transcript

When we’re talking about a motorcycle rre or or a car wreck there’s really no difference uh oftentimes there’s very little difference in terms of whether the person injured is the uh driver or a passenger on a motorcycle or is the loved one of the driver or passenger on a motorcycle who may have been tragically killed as a result of the incident uh in the event that the driver driver or passenger of a motorcycle wreck Is tragically killed then depending upon the state law uh again we we practice in Missouri Kansas and Illinois the state laws vary somewhat but generally speaking the deant uh family members whether it’s a spouse children or sometimes even uh surviving parents have a right to be compensated for the loss of their family member in the event where someone is tragically killed as result of car wreck then often times their family members have a right to be compensated for the loss of their loved one uh there really no differences in the types of compensation that the uh client is entitled to uh and that again that’s going to include the cost of the any medical treatment that was required the loss of the decedent’s income as well as the loss of the relationship uh that his family members have now suffered as a result of his death uh there are some slight difference in the statute of limitations or in other words the amount of time that my client has to bring a lawsuit against a responsible party dependent upon the state in which the incident occurred uh in Missouri Kansas and Illinois sometimes there is a shorter window of time for a family of a person tragically killed in a car wreck to contact Brown and krupin and allow us to file a lawsuit than there would be if the person survived the wreck itself
