When has your community involvement led to an impactful change?

A number of years ago, we had a football team here called the Rams and the Rams were wonderful. We got three wonderful dream years from the Rams where the city as a whole came together to support the team and we all were St. Louis together against the world. Well the owner, Mr Kroenke, moved the team and it really upset me. So I filmed a spot, put it on TV, paid with our money. Nobody asked us to do it. And I think we captured the the spirit and the outrage of St. Louis. It galvanized the entire city. Every place we went, people just shook our hands and and said, “Thank you for saying what we wanted to say. You put your money where your mouth was and you said it.” So I think it was an opportunity, it’s something that needed to be done, nobody was doing it and so we decided to do it. I think at that moment St. Louis was one and that’s really what everything’s all about, to be together and to be one.
