$800,000 verdict in northeast Kansas for rear-end collision and head injury suffered by young nurse

Tom Davis and his trial team obtained an $800,000 jury verdict in Atchison County, Kansas, in February of 2026. The trial lasted three days and Tom and Joe Hillebrand presented an efficient and lean trial presentation with testimony from the client, five health witnesses, a medical expert and a life care planner.

Mandy Green worked extremely hard with Tom and Joe to put together PowerPoint slides, medical records exhibits using our trial software, and poster boards that were shown live to the jury, and helped present everything at trial so that it was seamless and looked professional. Dusty Gleason helped with managing witnesses and with key research, jury instructions and trial pleadings.

Mary Francis and Andrea McNairy helped from early on with brainstorming about exhibits and ways to present a lot of information to the jury without overloading them, as there was a lot of medical treatment and medical records. Megan Fromson helped out with jury selection and putting together bios of each of the jury panel that helped with getting a really good jury. The preparation for the trial started months beforehand, and everything went well at trial. The client is very happy with the result and got her day in court.
