The 1st of year fell on a Wednesday, and everyone knows it’s impossible to start something new unless it’s on a Monday, but then Monday the 6th was Snowmageddon in St. Louis and my 4-year-old daughter was home all week, so today, January 13th is in fact the First of the Year. It’s just science.

As we step into 2025, we’re excited to begin a new chapter of connection and inspiration with Brown & Crouppen Law Firm. This blog is more than a reflection on our outreach—it’s a celebration of our shared impact and a look forward to what we can achieve together.

Our goal is to inspire meaningful action. Whether through volunteering, donating, or simply staying connected, we invite you to join us on this journey. Let’s make 2025 unforgettable—a year where every act of kindness strengthens our community.

This year, let’s ground ourselves in a powerful “why”—Service. Service to others, yes, but also to ourselves through compassion and understanding. Whether you’re supporting a cause, helping someone in need, or pausing to nurture your own well-being, service connects us to something greater. It’s about being present, empathetic, and aligned with what truly matters.

As we work to make an impact, let’s also remember to give ourselves grace. Growth isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress, patience, and purpose. If we stumble, grace isn’t just for others; it’s a gift we deserve too.

Join us in making this year a celebration of community, compassion, and care. Together, we can create something truly extraordinary.

Best, Kat Maugh
