$670,000
The car crash victim was involved in a low-impact rear-end collision, and waited over five weeks to begin treatment. It was eventually discovered that the impact had caused a screw from a previous back surgery to break. He had to undergo another surgery to repair it, and his total medical bills were around $240,000.
The team approached the case in steps; recovering the $250,000 liability policy limits first, followed by the client’s $50,000 UIM policy limits, and finally a $370,000 UIM recovery through his employer. The client was happy with the result and it was a pleasant surprise for all of us, a great example of how thoughtful strategy and persistence can lead to an outstanding outcome.
