Laurna was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri. In 2015, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science. In 2019, she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Missouri–Kansas City earning her Juris Doctorate and a Master of Arts in Political Science. Laurna has years of personal injury experience as a paralegal, law clerk, and attorney for personal injury firms in Joplin and the Kansas City metro. She is a member of the Missouri Bar and Kansas Bar as well as the Federal Western and Eastern Districts of Missouri.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys to travel as much as possible.
