Alan G. Pirtle

For more than 30 years, Alan Pirtle has litigated cases for severely injured clients and families of people who died because of the negligence or misconduct of others. Alan has recovered millions of dollars for his clients in numerous challenging and complicated cases against some of the largest companies and entities. Those cases have been in both state and federal courts and have included a wide range of injury and death cases involving truck and automobile crashes; manufacturers of unsafe products including truck and automobile manufacturers; medical malpractice; nursing home neglect; police car chase injuries; and unsafe premises.

Alan is known as being one of the leading lawyers in the field of personal injury litigation as shown by his selection by other attorneys to the prestigious Best Lawyers in America every year from 2022 through 2026; an honor earned by less than 5% of American lawyers.

Alan has also been named to the Top Trial Lawyers in America’s Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums and the National Trial Lawyers’ “Top Ten Trucking Lawyers” and “Top 100 Personal Injury Lawyers”. He has also been designated a “Leading Lawyer” by a National Advisory Board of Trial Lawyers and named one of “St. Louis’ Top Lawyers” by St. Louis Magazine.

Alan Pirtle has always gone the extra mile to obtain the best results for his clients. This is exemplified by one of Alan’s Brown & Crouppen cases being accepted for appeal and decision by the United States Supreme Court, the highest court in the nation. Many lawyers would have tried to settle that case early on, but Alan refused knowing that the only way his severely injured client could achieve justice was to fight to take his case to the highest court in the land. (The Supreme Court takes less than 1% of all appeals it is petitioned to accept and less than 1% of American lawyers have their cases heard in the U.S. Supreme Court.)

Over the years, Alan has provided continuing legal education seminars to other trial lawyers about state and federal court evidence and civil procedure.

Alan has been a member and leader of numerous political and charitable organizations in Illinois. The last few years he has focused his charitable emphasis and involvement in women’s cancer organizations and animal rescue groups.

When he is not fighting for his clients, Alan enjoys spending time with his wife, his adult children, and his rescue dogs.
