Laurna Alumbaugh

Laurna Alumbaugh is an experienced attorney focused on personal injury and workers’ compensation law, currently serving clients of Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois. She brings over 10 years of hands-on legal experience spanning every phase of case development—from her early career as a paralegal and law clerk to her current role as an attorney. Laurna has successfully secured significant settlements earning recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2024–2025.

Laurna earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, and a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, where she also served as President of the UMKC Federalist Society. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Missouri Southern State University and was a proud member of Pi Sigma Alpha and Alpha Chi National Honor Societies.

Laurna is admitted to practice law in Missouri and Kansas, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri.

She is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, including its Young Lawyers Section, and serves on the MATA New Lawyers Committee.

Born and raised in Joplin, Missouri, Laurna remains closely connected to her community and values her roots. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
